This is the System Restore Disc that is included with the ASUS EeePC 1005HA Netbook. It contains Windows 7 Starter Edition and should work fine with that netbook. This ISO has not been modified in any way so it may or may not work with other ASUS Netbooks or other PCS.
Hi gtr225, could you please upload Asus EEE PC-1011PX Recovery System DVD please?
I'm sorry I do not have that disc
I have the same model number Eee PC, 1005HA, but it came with XP. Will this allow me to upgrade to W7 or will I need a new serial number?
It should allow you to upgrade with no trouble
I am going to try and Install it on my asus eeepc 900a notebook. Hopefully it installs fine. Thank you for sharing.
Please let me know how it goes
Thanks gtr225, but... is this ISO bootable?
I'm unable to boot from it. I've tried different tools to make a bootable USB stick with it, no luck so far.
I have a 1005HA.
Could you check your Restore Disc?

or i can over burn it ?
or i can over burn it ?
it ask's for the original cd every time
If this does not work, you can make a W7starter-dvd and install it. Then use the daz-loader. Take the e-cam driver from the Asus site. That`s how it worked with me.
Hi thanks for this, I made a bootable USB but it would ask for the disk (dvd) before it would begin restoring so...I did this and it worked for my eee pc 1005hab:
1. downloaded the image
2. Since the iso is almost 5gb I opened with magic iso, deleted the antivirus folder (800 mb) from software folder, (this made it small enough for a 4.4gb dvd5) saved as a new image.
3. burned to a normal cheap DVD5
4. booted with a external DVD and its working
thanks
